Charisma Test

Charismatic people are often seen as having extraordinary leadership and communication abilities. They tend to have a high level of self-confidence and strong convictions about their beliefs and way of doing things and often exhibit high task performance abilities.

This test is based on the research of M. Shashkin and W.C. Morris to bring you a test that measures your charisma across six different domains.

The IDRlabs Charisma Test (IDR-C) was developed by IDRlabs. The IDR-C is based on the work of M. Shashkin and W.C. Morris, who authored the Charisma Instrument. The IDR-C is not associated with any specific researchers in the field of social psychology, personality psychology, or any affiliated research institutions.

The test provides the following feedback:

Management of Attention: The level of close attention you pay to people with whom you are communicating.

Management of Meaning: Indicating the level of effectiveness with which you are able to get your meaning across.

Management of Trust: The level at which others perceive you as willing to follow through on promises and take clear positions on issues.

Management of Self: The level of concern you have regarding the welfare of others and their feelings as well as your own self-regard.

Management of Risk: The willingness to take risks for the things you believe in. The acceptance and ability to deal with failures in the pursuit of your goals.

Management of Feelings: The ability to tap into the feelings of others and make their work more meaningful for them.

The IDRlabs Charismatic Test was informed by M. Shashkin and W.C. Morris’ work as published by Addison-Wesly (1987).

The work of M. Shashkin and W.C. Morris has informed the test items in the form of the widely known measure of charisma, the Charismatic Test, which is especially for the use of qualified mental health professionals. The present test is intended for educational purposes only. IDRlabs and the present IDRlabs Charismatic Test are independent of the above researchers, organizations, or their affiliated institutions.

The Charismatic Test is based on a charismatic instrument developed by the said researchers. However, free online tests and quizzes such as this one are solely first take and cannot provide accurate assessments of your personality. Hence, the test is intended to be used for educational purposes only. A definitive personality assessment can be made only by a qualified mental health professional.
