Left-Wing Authoritarianism Test
Based on the work of L.G. Conway, Ph.D. and S. Houck, Ph.D.
Authoritarianism is an approach to politics characterized by support for strong central power and the constriction of individual freedoms. For years, researchers thought authoritarianism was exclusively the domain of the right-wing, but recently, researchers have begun discussing the possibility of left-wing authoritarianism as well. This test is based on a recent left-wing authoritarianism scale developed by Conway, Houck, and associates. It will determine your level of left-wing authoritarianism.
Are you a left-wing authoritarian? For each of the following statements, indicate your level of agreement below.
Question 1 of 12
The only way our country can get through the turbulent times ahead is to purge certain people of their “traditional” values.
