The Classroom of the Elite Test uses character-based self-report questions to compare strategy, ambition, trust, emotional restraint, and social control. The test provides feedback such as the following:
Kei Karuizawa
Kei Karuizawa is the popular social queen of Class D whose outward confidence masks a history of severe bullying and deep-seated trauma. She navigates the school’s brutal hierarchy by crafting a persona of strength and fashion, often relying on others to maintain her status and safety. Beneath this defensive layer lies a person who is intensely vigilant and desperate for genuine connection. While she initially uses social leverage to survive, her experiences force her to confront her own vulnerability. She eventually shifts from a terrified victim to a fiercely loyal ally, proving that her greatest strength is her resilience when protecting those she trusts.
Arisu Sakayanagi
Arisu Sakayanagi is the frail prodigy and elegant schemer who treats life as a grand chess match. As the leader of Class A, she possesses extraordinary reasoning power and academic talent, yet she is physically constrained by a congenital heart condition that requires her to walk with a cane. From childhood, she believed that superior DNA dictates destiny, a worldview solidified by her obsession with the mysterious Kiyotaka Ayanokōji. She projects a whimsical, go-with-the-flow charm while orchestrating ruthless psychological warfare against her peers. Beneath her aristocratic poise lies a genuine fascination with worthy opponents and a deep-seated frustration with her own physical limitations.
Suzune Horikita
Suzune Horikita is a brilliant and disciplined student who enters the Advanced Nurturing High School with a singular, driving ambition to earn the respect of her older brother. She is defined by her sharp logic, intense academic focus, and a cold, aloof demeanor that often alienates those around her. While she initially views her classmates as obstacles or dead weight, her journey forces her to confront the reality that true leadership requires cooperation and empathy rather than just individual excellence. Beneath her rigid, perfectionist exterior lies deep-seated insecurity and a hunger for validation, fueling her transformation from an isolated achiever into a central, organizing force for Class D.
Honami Ichinose
Honami Ichinose is the radiant leader of Class B whose genuine kindness is tempered by a deep-seated sense of guilt. She views her role as a protector, often managing shared resources and prioritizing the well-being of her classmates over her own standing. Her core contradiction lies in her desperate need to be morally flawless to atone for a past shoplifting incident that continues to haunt her. While she is exceptionally popular and approachable, she struggles under the immense pressure of maintaining her reputation and saving everyone. When faced with conflict, she avoids aggression and chooses consensus, often sacrificing her own success to preserve harmony.
Kiyotaka Ayanokouji
Kiyotaka Ayanokouji is a hyper-competent, emotionally restricted mastermind who hides in plain sight. Raised in a clandestine facility that stripped him of a normal childhood, he was trained to be a prodigy in academics, combat, and strategy. At school, he deliberately acts average to avoid attention, often viewing people as tools to achieve his goals. Beneath this cold exterior is a boy who clings to personal freedom and a semblance of ordinary life. He embodies the struggle of someone built to use others learning to value them. He remains strategic, guarded, and hyper-observant, preferring to watch from the shadows rather than be known.
Kikyou Kushida
Kikyou Kushida is the smiling social butterfly whose desperate need for adoration turned her into a calculated saboteur. Outwardly she is the angel of Class D, using her charm and helpful nature to maintain a flawless reputation among her peers. In truth, she harbors a volatile, manipulative side that erupts whenever her carefully curated image is threatened. She views her social standing as a survival mechanism, leading her to destroy anyone who might expose her past secrets. Her core contradiction is a deep-seated belief that she is worthless without universal love, driving her to betray her own class to protect her illusion of perfection.
Kakeru Ryuuen
Kakeru Ryuuen is the charismatic tyrant, a delinquent warlord who rules through fear and gleeful chaos. As Class C’s leader, he uses violence, blackmail, and psychological games instead of trust, maintaining a dictatorship that even his enemies admit is effective at preventing internal collapse. He is quick-thinking, unorthodox, and willing to take extreme risks to mislead his rivals. Deep down, he is less a pure sadist than someone who believes might makes right and that school is only fun when he is breaking it. He respects opponents who challenge him, treating rules as weapons and authority as something to be mocked or outmaneuvered.
