Hiro

Goro

Goro is the steady, good-humored support pillar of the squad, acting as the loyal best friend and emotional ballast who consistently chooses the happiness of others over his own. As a highly competent and level-headed pilot, he remains a reliable presence who rarely panics, even when faced with dire circumstances. His core traits are unwavering loyalty, optimism, and deep emotional patience. While he often suppresses his own desires to avoid burdening those he cares about, he possesses a quiet strength that allows him to navigate complex interpersonal tensions with grace. Ichigo

Ichigo is a conscientious, rule-oriented leader whose composure hides intense insecurity and unrequited love. Groomed as an honor student and made squad leader after Hiro’s fall, she is diligent, organized, and obedient to the authorities, taking her responsibility for the squad very seriously. Her defining traits are protectiveness, diligence, and emotional repression. She enforces protocol, coordinates battle formations, and suppresses her own feelings to keep the team functional. Beneath her bossy exterior is a lonely girl terrified of being left behind. She clings to childhood bonds and struggles when her caretaking is not reciprocated, a pattern many in leadership roles will recognize.

Zero Two

Zero Two is a feral, charismatic outsider who masks profound loneliness with bravado, sensuality, and reckless strength. A human-Klaxosaur hybrid and elite pilot, she is feared as the Partner Killer because most co-pilots die after three sorties with her, leading her to accept solitude and a monstrous self-image. On the surface she is playful, teasing, and brutally efficient in battle, often treating others as temporary tools. Beneath the seductive bravado lies deep shame and a fear that she can only hurt those she loves. She embodies the fight to define one’s humanity against a dehumanizing system and the stigma of being different.
