She initially mistakes compassion for weakness, walking away when others let feelings cloud their judgment. Only when faced with the consequences of her detachment does she realize that true mentorship requires loyalty and care alongside brilliance. Behind her stern, calculating exterior lies a protector willing to defy divine authority to defend the people she champions.

Eurylochus

Eurylochus is a cautious second-in-command whose primary loyalty lies with the immediate survival of his crew. He constantly measures the real human cost of grand ambitions and dares to question charismatic leadership when plans turn reckless. Where others chase glory or distant ideals, he focuses on keeping ordinary people safe and alive. His greatest contradiction is that his protective caution can collapse under overwhelming stress. Driven by desperation and dread, he often makes rash, impulsive decisions that fracture trust and provoke the very catastrophes he fought to prevent. He remains a dedicated protector whose fierce loyalty is constantly tested by panic and doubt.

Odysseus

Odysseus is the sharp-witted king of Ithaca and battle-tested captain determined to guide his men home to his wife and son. Resourceful and quick under pressure, he relies on strategy, deception, and tactical improvisation rather than brute force alone. His core conflict lies in the heavy toll of survival: while he values fellowship and mercy, relentless perils convince him that ruthlessness is sometimes necessary to keep his promises. He hides his fear and growing guilt behind decisive commands, taking full responsibility for impossible choices. Though fiercely driven by devotion to family, he constantly fears that surviving the journey will transform him into a monster.

Penelope

Penelope is the steadfast queen of Ithaca whose quiet patience serves as a deliberate shield against overwhelming pressure. Left to protect her home and son, she defends her kingdom not with open combat, but with calculated delays and sharp emotional intelligence. While suitors mistake her endurance for helplessness, she secretly controls the tempo of the palace by weaving time into a weapon. She keeps her profound grief guarded behind an unshakable composure and refuses to hand over her trust without demanding rigorous proof. Beneath her guarded exterior lies a fierce commitment to genuine love, protecting what matters most by holding her ground until truth prevails.

Poseidon

Poseidon is the unyielding god of the sea who treats any challenge to his authority as a call for swift retribution. He operates on the firm belief that ruthlessness is a form of mercy, arguing that decisive severity prevents future conflict and closes off lingering threats. When his son is harmed and his pride is slighted, he demands complete consequence rather than compromise. Beneath his calm and commanding exterior lies an intolerance for disrespect. Circe

She neutralizes potential threats before they can strike, transforming reckless trespassers and maintaining an intimidating reputation to keep her world secure. Her defensive cruelty stems from a fierce desire to protect her home, yet she remains deeply receptive to honor. When someone respects her boundaries and shows genuine loyalty, she abandons her manipulations in favor of sincere aid. Circe constantly balances extreme self-protection with compassion, ultimately choosing generosity and guidance once she feels safe enough to lower her defenses.
