Jouichirou Nishi

Jouichirou Nishi is a calculating veteran of the deadly hunt who treats survival as a private contest of skill. Having endured far longer than his peers, he relies on stealth gear and accumulated knowledge to outlast dangerous targets. He prefers to operate from the shadows, watching newcomers make fatal mistakes rather than offering guidance or forming bonds. To him, empathy is a foolish liability that gets people killed, and he hoards vital tactical information to preserve his own advantage. Yet beneath his cold contempt lies the defensive cynicism of someone who learned too early that trust carries a lethal price. He remains completely isolated, choosing ruthless self-reliance over connection.

Kei Kurono

Kei Kurono is a reluctant fighter and quick-thinking survivor who often masks his deep insecurity behind bravado and a detached attitude. Initially self-centered, cynical, and driven by a desire for validation, he treats others with suspicion and tries to avoid taking unnecessary risks. However, when mortal danger strikes, a fierce survival instinct takes over. He quickly learns to master unfamiliar weapons, spots escape routes others miss, and improvises bold tactics under extreme pressure. Although he begins as someone who resents responsibility, witnessing the bravery and sacrifice of his companions forces him to confront his own selfishness, gradually stepping into the role of a protective leader.

Masaru Katou

Masaru Katou is a compassionate high school student and the moral anchor of the Tokyo Gantz team. Driven by a deep sense of responsibility toward his younger brother and his childhood friend Kei Kurono, he consistently risks his life to shield vulnerable people from danger. He values human life far above scoring points or securing an easy survival, refusing to abandon anyone in crisis. Katou is not fearless; he often feels overwhelmed, confused, and terrified during brutal alien hunts. His main contradiction is that his idealism places him at constant risk in a ruthless game. Instead of turning cynical, he transforms grief into protective action.

Kei Kishimoto

Kei Kishimoto is an emotionally vulnerable survivor whose desperate search for safety transforms into selfless devotion. Placed into violent alien hunts after an accident leaves her existing as a duplicate of her former self, she struggles with feeling like an unneeded copy. She handles terrifying crises by seeking security through close emotional bonds, leaning heavily on the compassion and protection of others rather than relying on cold tactical strategy. While she often appears fragile and easily overwhelmed, her deep loyalty reveals unexpected resolve. When the people she loves are threatened, she overcomes her own helplessness to act with fierce, protective courage.

Sei Sakuraoka

Sei Sakuraoka is a confident martial artist who confronts danger and romance with direct, unapologetic boldness. Rather than hesitating or waiting for group approval, she relies on her physical instincts, adapting quickly to alien threats and stepping directly into combat. She expresses attraction openly and refuses to disguise her desires, treating every high-stakes challenge as an opportunity to assert her independence. Beneath her casual, flirtatious exterior lies a genuine capacity for emotional risk and fierce loyalty. When someone she cares for is threatened, she volunteers to take the frontline, proving that her self-assurance is both a personal shield and a selfless weapon.
