His fatal flaw lies in letting envy consume his potential.

Kartein

Kartein is a world-renowned awakener and master healer who hides his protective nature behind a sharp, sarcastic exterior. As an independent figure who becomes Jiwoo Seo's live-in physician, he constantly complains about being dragged into trouble while demanding perfection from everyone around him. He avoids unnecessary fights, but he ruthlessly punishes anyone who disrespects him or threatens those under his care. Although he claims to act strictly out of self-interest, he routinely risks his safety to heal catastrophic injuries, teach his force control, and defend his household. His cynical comments mask a committed guardian who treats caretaking as a chore yet refuses to abandon his allies.

Jiyoung Yoo

Jiyoung Yoo is the chairwoman of the Shinhwa Association and South Korea’s top-ranked awakener. Forced into leadership at a young age, she maintains an unflappable public presence, masking immense national responsibility beneath total emotional control. She acts as a protective shield for younger peers, stepping in decisively to shelter them from organizational politics and high-level threats. In private, she hides profound exhaustion and loneliness, carrying the fear of losing her remaining family while maintaining an untouchable facade. Though she enjoys teasing trusted companions, she remains isolated by her title. Her quiet warmth surfaces only when someone offers genuine sincerity without demanding power or deference in return.

Jiwoo Seo

Jiwoo Seo is a gentle, exceptionally fast fighter who reflexively puts himself in harm's way to shield others. Driven by a deep empathy for stray animals and vulnerable peers, he steps into dangerous battles without hesitation, relying on pure speed and fierce determination. In daily life, he is extraordinarily polite, soft-spoken, and hesitant to display his immense potential, fearing that his powers might frighten people or ruin his relationships. However, when his friends or mentors are threatened, his timid demeanor vanishes completely. Jiwoo proves that boundless compassion and stubborn resolve can exist together, continuously pushing past physical pain and self-doubt to keep those he cares about safe.

Subin Lee

Subin Lee is a powerful cryokinetic awakener and the designated heir to the South Korean Awakened Union. Raised under heavy family expectations, she handles conflicts with disciplined efficiency and sharp tactical skill. She hides her emotional vulnerabilities behind a brash, competitive, and quick-tempered exterior. She constantly bickers with her peers and refuses to show weakness. Despite her argumentative front, she is fiercely protective of her friends and risks everything to guard them. Behind her loud armor lies a sensitive heart that longs for warmth and genuine connection. Over time, she balances her heavy family duty with fierce loyalty to her chosen circle.

Woo In

Woo In is a quiet telekinetic awakener whose reserved demeanor covers a deep ethical core and fierce loyalty. Shaped by an abusive upbringing under a manipulative mentor, he learned early to observe carefully, speak little, and handle dangerous situations with calm precision. Although he appears emotionally detached on the surface, he possesses an intense sense of devotion to the small circle of friends who accept him. He prefers quiet concession and peaceful resolution over loud confrontation, but he will not hesitate to push himself to his limits to protect those he cares about. His main struggle lies in reconciling his past trauma with his desire for genuine connection.

Kayden Break

Kayden Break is an exceptionally powerful, unaffiliated awakener who operates strictly on his own terms. Arrogant, short-tempered, and fiercely independent, he openly rejects organizational rules and relies on overwhelming force to settle conflicts. Despite his prickly exterior and tendency to complain about unnecessary burdens, he possesses a fiercely protective instinct for those he takes under his wing. He hides his genuine concern behind sharp words and dramatic bluster, pretending to act solely out of self-interest while repeatedly risking his life to safeguard his allies. His intense pride often prevents him from admitting vulnerability, yet his actions consistently reveal a deeply loyal guardian beneath his aggressive facade.
