Junpei Iori is the loud, joking class clown of the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad who hides deep insecurities behind constant bravado. He desperately wants to be a hero who can protect everyone, yet he frequently struggles with jealousy toward his more naturally talented peers. This envy sometimes makes him impulsive and confrontational as he tries to prove his worth. Underneath his immature slacking and obsession with looking cool, he possesses a profound capacity for loyalty and self-sacrifice. When people he cares about are in real danger, he drops the act to become a reliable, grounded protector who will throw himself into harm's way to keep his friends safe.

Yukari Takeba

Yukari Takeba is a popular high school archer who hides her deep loneliness behind a cheerful and stylish exterior. She wants to form genuine bonds with others, yet her fear of vulnerability makes her prickly and quick to react with sarcasm when she feels threatened. Although she struggles with a deep fear of death and initially hesitates to use her Evoker, she refuses to run away from painful truths. She prefers to face grief head-on rather than accept a comforting lie. While she easily jokes with her classmates, she only lets a select few see her when she is truly hurting.

Takaya Sakaki

Takaya Sakaki is the charismatic leader of the rival group Strega, acting as a dark prophet who welcomes the end of the world. Driven by deep-seated nihilism, he views life as a brief, meaningless struggle and seeks to guide vulnerable people toward his fatalistic beliefs. His central contradiction lies in rejecting societal laws and order while demanding absolute devotion from his followers. He expresses his ideas with dramatic flair, summoning his Persona with agonizing effort rather than using a standard tool to trigger it. Though his philosophy offers a tempting escape from pain, his theatrical crusade ultimately masks a tragic, comforting surrender to total despair.

Aigis

Aigis is an advanced anti-Shadow android who begins her journey as a literal weapon but gradually develops a deeply human soul. Initially, she operates on pure combat logic and struggles with basic social cues, giving her a quirky, deadpan presence. Her core motive is an intense, instinctual drive to protect her companions, especially the protagonist. However, as her memories and emotions awaken, she faces a painful existential crisis. She wrestles with the heavy burden of grief, mortality, and the fear of failing those she loves. Although she appears cold and overly formal, she secretly struggles with ordinary social situations and feels sheltered from normal teenage life. She holds herself and others to incredibly high standards, yet she easily becomes flustered by simple, mundane experiences. Her journey is about learning to share her burdens rather than facing her duties alone. She slowly trades her rigid isolation for genuine trust in her friends, realizing that true strength lies in cooperation.

Akihiko Sanada

Akihiko Sanada is a determined upperclassman boxer who channels his grief into relentless physical training. He strives to become strong enough to protect everyone around him, yet he hides a deep sense of helplessness beneath his tough exterior. Haunted by the tragic loss of his sister, he treats every challenge as a personal test of his worth.
