They do not fight for leadership or cause dramatic scenes. Instead, they sit quietly together and express their frustration through stubborn noncooperation and small acts of mischief. Their biggest contradiction is the contrast between their sweet origin and their current prickly attitude. Beneath their passive resentment lies a lingering wish to be appreciated rather than forgotten once their initial purpose is over. Tapioca handles social slights by withdrawing into collective defiance, preferring quiet stubbornness over risking further disappointment.

Tonkatsu

Tonkatsu is a discarded edge of a fried pork cutlet who quietly longs to be chosen and appreciated. Composed of ninety-nine percent fat and only one percent meat, Tonkatsu knows the sting of being left behind on the plate for being undesirable. Instead of becoming resentful or pretending to be something grander, Tonkatsu accepts its flaws with nervous humor and modest grace. Its main contradiction lies in dreaming of being eaten, an absurd yet deeply sincere wish to prove its worth and feel useful. Shirokuma

Shirokuma is a gentle polar bear who fled the freezing north in search of warmth and peace. Despite being an Arctic creature, Shirokuma cannot stand the cold and prefers quiet corners where hot tea, soft blankets, and familiar comforts make the world feel manageable. Shy and domestic, Shirokuma spends quiet days drawing, soaking in hot springs, and relying on a faithful wrapping cloth named Furoshiki to carry belongings and reserve a cozy spot. Shirokuma avoids loud social confrontations, choosing calming daily routines and close companions over chaos. By creating a safe sanctuary wherever a warm drink is found, Shirokuma turns homesickness into a quiet art of comfort.

Ebifurai no Shippo

Ebifurai no Shippo is a discarded fried shrimp tail who meets rejection with unfailing cheerfulness and spirited camaraderie. Having been left on the plate for being too tough to eat, this resilient leftover refuses to let an unglamorous origin spoil its mood. It stays close to Tonkatsu out of shared understanding, actively encouraging fellow companions who feel forgotten or overlooked. To prove its worth, it eagerly garnishes itself with tartar sauce and condiments, clinging to the hopeful dream of being chosen and appreciated. Beneath its bright demeanor lies a quiet vulnerability, yet it chooses upbeat routines and steadfast loyalty over bitterness.

Neko

Neko is a timid, self-conscious cat who constantly worries about taking up too much space. Instead of claiming comfortable territory, this gentle feline routinely yields the best corner to accommodate others. When nervous or overwhelmed, Neko retreats into snug hiding places or scratches quietly at the wall to regain a sense of calm. A hearty appetite for comfort food clashes with persistent insecurities about body shape, creating a quiet tension between enjoying treats and fretting over appearance. Rather than demanding attention, Neko expresses affection through dependable, everyday care, such as faithfully watering the weed Zassou every single day.

Tokage

Tokage is a gentle and guarded companion who poses as an ordinary lizard to avoid capture, concealing the fact that it is actually a surviving dinosaur. Driven by a deep need for safety, Tokage navigates daily life through quiet evasion and careful boundaries. It keeps its true heritage hidden even from close friends, fearing that exposure might bring danger. Beneath this protective mask lies a loyal heart that longs for connection and misses its distant mother. Tokage expresses affection through small, dependable gestures, like catching fish for companions. It finds comfort in shared corners while quietly hoping that genuine trust will allow it to be known.
