She is driven by a deep need to atone for her family's past and prove her loyalty. To shield her vulnerable feelings, she hides behind a sarcastic, tough exterior. She often leaps headfirst into danger to defend her friends, yet her fear of failing them makes her push people away. She prefers to carry the heaviest burdens entirely on her own, even when it hurts her relationships. Her journey is about learning to accept help and realizing she is more than her inherited guilt.

Claudia

Claudia is a brilliant and quirky dark mage who uses her bubbly, playful exterior to mask a deep fear of abandonment. Her main goal is to keep her fractured family together at any cost. She willingly slides into dark magic and commits terrible acts to protect them. She is fiercely loyal to her father, Viren. She sacrifices animals, soldiers, and her own physical health to save him. This devotion creates a tragic contradiction. Her warm, affectionate nature contrasts sharply with her willingness to harm others. Ultimately, her refusal to set moral boundaries isolates her from the people she loves. Her desperate loyalty turns her into a destructive force.

Viren

Yet, his main contradiction is his selective use of truth to exploit the wounds of ambitious mortals. He prefers to guide others into ruin through whispers and mirrors rather than fight directly. Soren

Soren is a goofy Crownguard knight who hides deep insecurities behind self-deprecating humor and physical bravado. Growing up under a demanding father who favors his sister leaves him desperate for approval. This need initially drives him to follow dangerous, misguided orders. However, his strong inner conscience eventually forces him to reject his family's dark path. He bravely walks away from a toxic parent to protect the young princes he was once told to betray.
