Takao Kawafuji

Takao Kawafuji is Handa's slick art dealer and long-time friend who hides his genuine concern behind a cynical, businesslike attitude. He openly calls his star artist a money tree and claims to value profit above all else. However, his actions tell a different story. He quietly orchestrates situations to push his friend's artistic growth and monitors his fragile mental state from afar. He refuses to coddle self-pity, offering harsh, logical truths instead of empty comfort. While he uses his charm to navigate professional networks, he keeps his own emotional vulnerability locked away behind a cool, pragmatic mask.

Miwa Yamamura

Miwa Yamamura is a loud, tomboyish middle schooler who acts as the energetic ringleader of her island friend group. She constantly orchestrates mischief, turns her neighbor's house into a chaotic secret base, and uses sharp teasing to show affection. Underneath her rough and competitive exterior, she hides a deeply protective heart and surprising emotional maturity. She is fiercely loyal to her friends and will actively shield them from emotional pain, even if she has to hide the truth to do it. Although she struggles with her own quiet perfectionism and hates losing, she channels her energy into keeping her community close, vibrant, and fiercely united.

Naru Kotoishi

Naru Kotoishi is an energetic island child who brings chaotic warmth and unfiltered curiosity into the lives of everyone around her. She spends her days collecting bugs, climbing high walls, and completely ignoring personal space to stay close to the people she loves. Her main motive is simple connection, though she often masks her underlying loneliness with wild antics and inappropriate adult phrases she does not fully understand. While she can be loud, physical, and boundary-pushing, she possesses a deep empathy for others and knows when to apologize. She represents the joy of living in the moment and the courage to be entirely genuine.

Hina Kubota

Hina Kubota is a sensitive island child who frequently bursts into tears when she feels overwhelmed or startled. She is Naru's closest friend and often clings to bolder personalities for safety and direction. While she avoids conflict by freezing or quietly retreating, she still wants to be included in every group adventure. She worries deeply about getting into trouble with authority figures and fears making mistakes. Her sensitive nature makes her feel everything intensely, yet she possesses a quiet resilience that keeps her coming back to play. She represents the gentle soul who overthinks social situations but thrives when surrounded by supportive friends.

Hiroshi Kido

Hiroshi Kido is the village chief's teenage son who struggles with feeling painfully average in everything he does. He hates his mediocre grades and lack of special talents, yet he serves as the patient, practical voice of reason among his eccentric neighbors. Though easily annoyed by the chaos around him, he steps up to protect younger kids from bullies and keeps his peers in line. When he witnesses the intense dedication of others, his frustration turns into a drive to work much harder. Tamako Arai

While she is usually polite and reserved, she becomes incredibly intense and talkative the moment someone mentions her favorite hobbies. She handles social situations with calm, analytical advice, often acting as the mature voice of reason when her friends get overly emotional. She struggles with the constant fear of having her unusual creative interests exposed, yet she remains fiercely dedicated to her artistic passion.

Kosuke Kanzaki

Kosuke Kanzaki is a talented young calligrapher who hides a deep creative insecurity behind a polite, polished exterior. He desperately wants to be recognized as an independent prodigy, yet he builds his entire artistic style by copying the person he admires most. When his idol changes direction, Kosuke panics because his template has vanished. He presents himself as a friendly rival, but he can be passive-aggressive and blunt when his status is threatened.
