Subaru Akehoshi is a vibrant performer who lives to bring joy to others, yet he carries a heavy family legacy. He is obsessed with shiny things and projects a cheerful, airheaded persona to keep people smiling. Underneath this sunny exterior, he is highly observant and uses his playful behavior to mask deep grief over his father's tragic history in the idol industry. He dislikes rigid authority and formal rules, preferring informal connections and genuine warmth. His infectious optimism is both a shield against loneliness and a powerful force that inspires his friends to challenge unfair systems.

Mao Isara

Mao Isara is a charismatic student leader and idol who acts as Yumenosaki Academy's ultimate fixer. He is naturally sociable, cheerful, and highly approachable, easily earning the respect of both his peers and his seniors. However, his helpful nature hides a habit of chronic over-responsibility. He constantly throws himself into resolving conflicts and taking on messy tasks, often neglecting his own physical and emotional limits to care for others. Driven by a deep need to be useful and a fear of letting people down, he struggles to say no. He must learn to share his burdens instead of quietly carrying them alone.

Makoto Yuuki

Makoto Yuuki is a friendly and easygoing idol who uses high energy to mask his deep social anxiety. As a former child model, he possesses flawless professional instincts, yet he struggles with one-on-one communication and frequently shuts down his own feelings to maintain a cheerful composure. He handles technical and information-gathering tasks with ease, preferring to stay behind the scenes. While he avoids open confrontation and tends to defer to others, he can harbor quiet resentment when pushed too far. He is motivated by a desire for genuine connection and safety, working hard to secure a stable place in the industry on his own terms.

Anzu

Anzu is the quiet and determined producer who works tirelessly behind the scenes to support her idols. As the sole female student in a male-dominated academy, she carries a strong sense of justice from past failures and channels it into strategic planning rather than loud confrontation. She is incredibly hardworking, often neglecting her own rest and appearance to ensure the success of others. While she initially appears timid and reserved, she possesses a mischievous, tomboyish side that emerges once she feels comfortable. She avoids the spotlight herself, finding her purpose in helping others shine and quietly reforming a broken system through her stubborn moral courage.

Keito Hasumi

Keito Hasumi is a strict, traditionalist student council vice-president who enforces order with severe lectures and sharp criticism. Raised in a temple family, he leads the unit AKATSUKI and believes that rigid rules protect people from chaos. While he appears moody and unyielding on the surface, his harsh scolding is actually his way of showing deep care for his peers. He panics internally when situations go off-script, yet he secretly harbors creative, non-traditional hobbies like drawing manga. Though he initially opposes change, he ultimately supports those who prove their competence, balancing his duty to the system with a quiet desire to protect others.

Hokuto Hidaka

Hokuto Hidaka is the cool, collected leader of Trickstar who works tirelessly to step out of the shadow of his famous parents. He is a natural perfectionist who defaults to logic, duty, and lecturing his peers to keep order in chaotic situations. While he presents himself as a rigid, almost robotic rule-follower, his deep sense of integrity drives him to rebel against unfair authority when it hurts his friends. He struggles to show vulnerability, hiding his family baggage and acting aloof to mask his fear of being hollow. He slowly learns to trust others, quietly relying on his unit while guiding them with stoic devotion.
