Kurama is a charismatic crow tengu who lives as a wildly popular human pop idol, hiding his supernatural identity behind a dramatic, gothic stage persona. He initially acts out of vanity and self-interest, but his arrogant behavior masks a deep-seated loneliness born from childhood rejection and exile from his mountain home. Highly adaptable to both human and spirit worlds, he frequently covers his vulnerability with theatrical bravado and flirtatious charm. Despite his superficial selfishness, he possesses strong empathy and gradually becomes a protective, reliable brother figure who will risk his own safety to shield his friends from harm.

Mizuki

Mizuki is a divine white snake familiar who clings to the past and desperately craves a place to belong. Left entirely alone for centuries after his original deity vanished, he uses childish antics, playful flirting, and quiet manipulation to secure relationships and keep people from leaving him. While he is highly skilled in ancient rituals and protective magic, he remains incredibly naive about modern human boundaries and social norms. He struggles with deep insecurity and an anxious attachment style, often oscillating between sweet devotion and possessive jealousy. Ultimately, his fierce loyalty makes him a deeply supportive companion who will sacrifice his own comfort to protect his found family.

Jirou

Jirou is a powerful tengu leader who rules his mountain community with an iron fist, believing that only the strong deserve to survive. He hides his deep loneliness behind strict discipline and a harsh, unyielding exterior. He equates showing mercy with weakness, a rigid philosophy that causes him to alienate those he wishes to protect. When his worldview is challenged by outsiders, his tough facade begins to crack. He struggles to express romantic attraction or vulnerability, often reacting with anger and denial when confronted with genuine care. Nanami Momozono

Nanami Momozono is a warmhearted high school student who suddenly becomes the land god of Mikage Shrine after her father leaves her homeless. She is deeply optimistic and hardworking, throwing herself into divine duties and schoolwork despite her constant self-doubt. Her greatest contradiction lies in her profound fear of abandonment, which she hides behind a cheerful, self-sacrificing determination to help everyone around her. She instinctively protects even those who have wronged her, slowly softening the hearts of prideful yōkai and distant gods. Driven by a longing for a secure home and genuine connection, she refuses to give up on the people she loves.

Tomoe

Tomoe is a centuries-old fox yokai who serves as the familiar of the Mikage Shrine, hiding his fierce devotion behind a sharp tongue and a prickly, sarcastic attitude. He is hyper-competent and takes absolute control of domestic chores, yet he struggles to admit his deep need for connection. His past is marked by violence and bloodshed, leaving him with abandonment trauma that manifests as intense overprotectiveness and a desire to isolate those he loves from danger. Though he acts as a realistic voice of reason, his cold exterior melts into fierce loyalty for his household, showing care through service rather than soft words.

Akura-Ou

Akura-Ou is a ruthless demon king who possesses the body of a human teenager to reclaim his lost immortal power. He views other people as disposable toys and equates love with absolute ownership, using dominance to avoid ever feeling weak or abandoned again. Despite his sadistic reputation, he is deeply unsettled by genuine compassion and struggles to understand why anyone would show him kindness. His violent past is defined by a fierce, possessive bond with his former partner, Tomoe, whose choice to seek redemption he views as a betrayal.
