The Noragami Test is inspired by psychometric methodology and based on research into the characters of the anime series. The test provides feedback such as the following:

Yato

Yato is a minor god who takes odd jobs for five yen while dreaming of building his own shrine and gaining millions of followers. On the surface, he appears theatrical, shameless, and irrepressibly cheerful, leaving his phone number on public walls and using humor to gloss over hardship. Beneath his absurd performance lies a deep fear of being forgotten, as an unremembered god eventually vanishes. Scarred by a violent history as a god of calamity, he works tirelessly to redefine himself through helpful acts. Though he masks his worries with jokes, he protects his close companions with fierce, immediate devotion when danger threatens.

Hiyori Iki

Hiyori Iki is a practical human high schooler who becomes the essential bridge between everyday life and the supernatural world. Grounded, academically capable, and deeply empathetic, she instinctively steps in to mediate disputes and protect those she cares about. She keeps her passion for martial arts and professional wrestling hidden behind a proper exterior, but she gladly uses that physical strength during sudden crises. Although her soul frequently slips from her body, leaving her vulnerable to dangerous spirits, she refuses to abandon her immortal friends. Hiyori questions rigid rules whenever they ignore human suffering, placing personal loyalty and moral courage above distant authority or personal safety.

Yukine

Yukine is Yato's shinki and sacred weapon, a dead human spirit who must navigate the pain of an unlived life in Noragami. He begins as a defensive, volatile boy who deeply resents being excluded from the world of the living. When he feels misjudged or left out, he acts on impulsive anger, lying, stealing, and pushing others away. Beneath his rebellious exterior lies a profound fear of abandonment and a desperate desire for belonging. After undergoing a painful purification, Yukine takes responsibility for his past mistakes. He channels his regrets into rigorous self-improvement, becoming a fiercely protective companion to the people who earned his trust.

Bishamon

Bishamon is a formidable war goddess who leads a massive supernatural household and treats her divine weapons as her personal family. She operates with relentless martial discipline, confronting threats directly and defying divine authority whenever rigid rules endanger those under her protection. Driven by past loss and a profound fear of abandonment, she strives to rescue and shield every vulnerable spirit she encounters. However, her fierce commitment creates her primary vulnerability: her refusal to turn anyone away causes her to take on more emotional and physical burdens than any single leader can carry. She conceals deep sorrow behind a stern, unyielding exterior, preferring to suffer in silence rather than show weakness.

Kofuku

Kofuku is a cheerful goddess of poverty who conceals a naturally destructive presence behind a bubbly, mischievous personality. She uses humor, playfulness, and casual charm to keep interactions light, defusing tension before anyone notices the chaos following in her wake. Beneath her airy demeanor lies an intensely loyal friend who values genuine relationships far more than formal status or divine rules. Because her presence naturally brings misfortune to others, she relies on a practical, protective partner to establish daily boundaries and keep life stable. She prefers turning trouble into comedy, but when those she cares about face real danger, she quietly stands her ground with surprising strength.

Kazuma

Kazuma is a dedicated strategist, guide, and trusted advisor who manages complex crises quietly behind the scenes. Driven by intense loyalty to his leader, he views protecting his allies as his highest duty. He analyzes situations with careful foresight, calculating risks, managing information, and anticipating threats before others notice them. However, his habit of keeping critical secrets for the sake of safety can create the very mistrust he tries to avoid. Kazuma is willing to bypass standard rules, make difficult ethical compromises, and absorb personal blame if it keeps his group secure. Deeply devoted yet emotionally guarded, he balances strict practical discipline with quiet, enduring care for those he serves.

Nora

Nora is a stray shinki whose sweet, soft-spoken demeanor masks a relentless drive to remain useful and impossible to discard. Bound to multiple masters across her past, she adapts quickly to shifting alliances because she fears becoming useless if she stays tied to a single path. She maintains a polite and composed exterior even while crossing personal boundaries and exploiting emotional insecurities to divide those around her. Beneath her manipulative habits lies a deep uncertainty about who she is without the names and roles given by others. She clings stubbornly to old relationships, using strategic gentleness and lingering obligations to keep former companions from leaving her behind.
