He is a nurturing, rehabilitative figure who proves that people can reinvent themselves.

Lu Shaotang

Lu Shaotang is a spirited and resilient young woman who balances the responsibilities of a store clerk with the lethal skills of a Triad-trained martial artist. After the tragic loss of her family, she finds a new sense of belonging within the convenience store, where she serves as a loyal, if occasionally disorganized, protector. Her combat style is defined by a striking contradiction: she is typically lighthearted and playful, but she transforms into a formidable force when consuming alcohol. By masking her past trauma and deep-seated grief with humor and high energy, she navigates a dangerous world while clinging to the found family she holds dear.

Shin Asakura

Shin Asakura is a telepathic ex-hitman and an earnest, empathetic protector who serves as the moral compass for his found family. Once a failed assassin, he now uses his mind-reading abilities to navigate the chaotic world of the Sakamoto store. He is deeply sensitive to the feelings of others, a trait that makes him a poor killer but a loyal friend. Shin constantly struggles with self-confidence, often fearing that his kindness is a weakness in a brutal industry. Despite his insecurities, he frequently overextends himself to shield those he cares about, proving that his conscience is his greatest strength rather than a liability.

Shishiba

Shishiba is a weary professional and reluctant role model who treats his work as a lethal, high-stakes job. As a member of the Order, he values precision, minimal collateral damage, and respect for civilian life above all else. He acts as a stoic mentor to Osaragi, quietly absorbing her chaotic energy while modeling a restrained, methodical approach to combat. Though he remains outwardly detached and compliant with institutional orders, his lingering conscience and evolving skepticism toward the JAA reveal a deeper, hidden loyalty to his personal values. He uses dry, cynical humor to cope with the moral fatigue of his profession.

Heisuke Mashimo

Heisuke Mashimo is an earnest, socially awkward sniper who functions as an idiot savant within the assassin underworld. He possesses an uncanny, singular talent for long-range marksmanship, yet he struggles with the basic complexities of daily life and close-quarters combat. A graduate of the JCC who was rejected by major organizations for his lack of versatility, he often feels useless and prone to self-doubt. His primary motivation is a desperate need for institutional recognition and a sense of belonging. While he is prone to tears and panic, he remains fiercely loyal and brave when protecting his friends, proving that his specialized focus can be life-changing.

Yoichi Nagumo

Yoichi Nagumo is a playful mastermind assassin who uses deception as both a tactical weapon and emotional armor. As a former Order prodigy, he navigates the dangerous underworld with a bright smile and constant jokes that mask his extreme skill at disguise, traps, and improvisation. He prefers to unbalance enemies through misdirection rather than brute force, acting as a charming company man who is always ready to bend institutional rules for his friends. While he projects an extroverted, carefree front, he is deeply affected by loss and carries the weight of unresolved grief, often performing exhausting emotional labor to protect those he loves.

Osaragi

Osaragi is a deceptively cute, impulsive prodigy who serves as the youngest member of the Order. Raised in the countryside and recruited after single-handedly neutralizing elite assassins, she wields an electric circular saw with terrifying, effortless strength. In conflict, she is direct and physical, often experimenting with improvised weapons and overwhelming opponents through relentless aggression rather than strategy. Outside of battle, she remains childlike, easily distracted by cute things, and prone to comparing people to animals. Her anchor is her mentor, Shishiba, who accepts her chaotic instincts while helping her retain a sense of human warmth within a ruthless, violent world.

Kei Uzuki

Kei Uzuki is a tragic revolutionary whose trauma and dissociative identities transform his idealism into a campaign of ruthless anti-system violence. Raised in the Al-Kamar orphanage as a tool for the JAA, he eventually turns against the assassin industry that exploited his childhood. His combat style is surgical and adaptive, utilizing high intelligence and copied personas to dismantle even the most formidable opponents. Yet, beneath his cold exterior, he oscillates between sadistic threats and profound, buried grief. He gathers disillusioned assassins into a quasi-family built on shared resentment, representing the dangerous path where justified rage mutates into dehumanizing extremism and a total rejection of the status quo.
