Jaskier is a flamboyant bard, Geralt’s persistent companion, and a vital emotional mediator who uses music and humor to refract a grim world into something lighter. Archetypally a Jester-Creator, he initially chases fame and fortune but becomes increasingly driven by loyalty and genuine care for his found family. His surface persona is vain, talkative, and self-promoting, yet he masks deep insecurity and a longing for attachment with jokes and theatricality. While he tends to avoid physical confrontation, leaning on charm and negotiation, he will stand his ground when lines are crossed. He is motivated by connection, recognition, and fun, consistently choosing to act despite his fear.

Ciri

Ciri is the crown princess of Cintra and the hunted survivor of a fallen kingdom. She is defined by her immense, reality-warping Elder Blood and the crushing weight of prophecies that demand her total submission. Her journey is a struggle to reclaim agency in a world where everyone—from kings to sorcerers—views her as a tool or a prize. Beneath her growing courage and impulsive combat choices lies a frightened teenager who deeply craves a stable home. Cahir Mawr Dyffryn aep Ceallach is a Nilfgaardian knight who serves as the primary instrument of imperial expansion before grappling with the moral weight of his actions. Initially driven by a desperate need for validation and a rigid adherence to duty, he acts as a terrifying force of conquest during the fall of Cintra. His journey is defined by the sharp contradiction between his past as a fanatical soldier and his later, painful quest for redemption. After suffering imprisonment and betrayal, he begins to question the authority he once worshipped. He remains a reserved, haunted figure who struggles to reconcile his capacity for violence with his newfound desire for atonement.

Yennefer
