The Bones Test is inspired by psychometric methodology and based on research into the characters of the book series. The test provides feedback such as the following:

His deep need for a structured framework leads him to be groomed by a serial killer, an act that stems from skewed logic rather than malice. Though he suffers a tragic downfall, his journey remains a poignant exploration of how intellectual giftedness can coexist with profound emotional isolation and the desperate, human search for belonging.

Lance Sweets is a boy-genius FBI psychologist who tries to heal others’ trauma while quietly wrestling with the scars of his own abused childhood and need for acceptance. Introduced at twenty-two with two doctorates, he is initially dismissed as an inexperienced kid by his colleagues. Despite his youth, his profiles of the team are often incisive and accurate. He harbors a near-missionary belief in the redemptive power of relationships, using his expertise to understand the bonds between those around him. Though he often plays the role of the analyst, he is deeply vulnerable, constantly seeking a family of choice to replace the one he lost.

Jack Hodgins

Temperance Brennan
