Haruka Sakura

Akihiko Nirei

Akihiko Nirei is a nervous, talkative underdog who proves that courage is acting despite fear, not in its absence. As a first-year student at Furin High, he is physically outmatched and often overwhelmed by the dangerous reality of his school. However, his deep love for the town of Makochi and his desire to protect his neighbors drive him to stand his ground. He compensates for his lack of combat strength with meticulous note-taking, sharp observation, and unwavering support for his classmates. While he often panics in the face of conflict, he consistently chooses to push forward, proving that true bravery is found in shaking hands that refuse to quit.

Hayato Suo

Hayato Suo is a refined tactician and gentleman delinquent who masks his true intentions behind a polite, perpetual smile. As a vice-captain at Furin High, he navigates social dynamics and physical conflict with an aristocratic grace that feels both charming and deeply opaque. He prefers to manipulate situations and nudge others toward specific outcomes rather than relying on raw force, though he possesses a hidden, fierce protectiveness for his comrades. His calm demeanor rarely falters, yet this constant poise creates a barrier that keeps his real feelings and potential darkness out of reach. He is a master of control who fears the vulnerability of being truly known.

Ren Kaji

Ren Kaji is a hot-blooded second-year captain whose explosive temper hides a deep well of tenderness and desperate loyalty. He carries a rough, don't-care exterior, often seen with headphones on and a lollipop in his mouth while patrolling the streets. Beneath this prickly surface, he struggles with a history of self-hatred and the fear that his berserk fighting style makes him a danger to those he loves. His leadership style is rooted in deep empathy, as he strives to create a community where troubled youths can find purpose and belonging. Despite his warm exterior, he carries the weight of a traumatic past that drives his commitment to shielding others from suffering. Kotoha Tachibana

Kotoha Tachibana is a grounded, sharp-tongued caregiver who has learned to protect her heart without closing it off. As a manager at Cafe Pothos and a foster sister to the school leader, she serves as a vital emotional anchor for the students of Furin High. She is kind yet stern, often scolding those who act recklessly while providing a safe space for them to be themselves. Her own history with broken promises has left her naturally skeptical and guarded, yet she chooses to believe in the boys she cares for. She values honest, reliable connection and uses her blunt, practical wisdom to hold her community together.

Kyotaro Sugishita

Kyotaro Sugishita is a stoic powerhouse and devoted guard dog whose silence conceals fierce loyalty and simple-hearted devotion. He is defined by his immense physical strength and a gorilla-like grip that allows him to neutralize opponents with a single blow. While he appears aloof and slow to speak, he is religiously committed to Bofurin leader Hajime Umemiya. Any perceived disrespect toward his leader triggers immediate, terrifying aggression, earning him the reputation of a fighter who does not bark, only bites. He approaches conflict with raw instinct, trusting his durability over complex strategy, and finds his sense of purpose through unwavering service and protection.

Jo Togame

Jo Togame is a guilt-ridden disciplinarian whose quiet intensity hides a deep longing to atone and protect. As the second-in-command of Shishitoren, he initially enforces a harsh creed that equates weakness with worthlessness, using his formidable MMA-style strength to punish those who fail to meet his leader's standards. This brutality is a mask, however, adopted to shield his friend from the consequences of a failing ideology. He is a man caught between his past complicity and a growing desire for redemption. By choosing to confront his own mistakes, he proves that true strength lies in the courage to change and protect others.
